Vietnam Railways

In October 2004, Systra Consulting Company (France) will focus on researching Nhon - Hanoi station pilot tram project (phase 1) to report to the Governments of Vietnam and France.

Under this project, Nhon - Cau Dien - Cau Giay - Kim Ma - Cat Linh - Hanoi station - Tran Hung Dao - Bac Co pilot tram line will have the length of 15.07 km. The line has 19 stop-off stations, the distance between them will be 820 m/station. The project will be divided into two phases:
- Phase 1: From Nhon to Kim Ma will be on-the-ground and 2-km Kim Ma - Hanoi station will be underground.
- Phase 2: From Hanoi station to Bac Co (the last station).

The project, approved by the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, will be carried out in the period of 5 years, from 2005 to 2010.
